There are two ways an adjustment can be requested, and it varies by the company and role you have applied to, and this will be explained in your assessment invitation email.
Some companies will ask you to get in touch with them and request an adjustment, which they will then apply to your application before you can proceed with the assessment.
Other companies will give you the opportunity to self-declare any reasonable adjustments before starting the assessment, without the need to contact them first. If that is the case, you will be presented with a list of adjustments available and will be able to select the one(s) you require by ticking the relevant boxes.
Once selections are made, you can rest assured that the adjustments will be applied to your assessment automatically.
If you have any uncertainty about whether you need a reasonable adjustment or don’t see an adjustment relevant to your condition, you can always reach out to your prospective employer to discuss this further as they will be able to provide you with information about the options available to you.
If you do not need an adjustment and are happy to proceed without one, you can tick the ‘I do not need an adjustment box’. Please be mindful that once you have chosen to start the assessment, reasonable adjustments cannot be applied retrospectively.
