Firstly, you’ll receive an invitation to our assessment into the inbox of the email address you applied with. Make sure to check your junk/spam folder too as sometimes it can land there by mistake!
A brief introduction to the assessment is provided in your invite as well as information regarding reasonable adjustments and a support email address to get in touch with if you have any questions.
So, you’re ready to get started!
Onboarding:
Upon opening the assessment you’ll work through a short onboarding journey where there will be an opportunity to take part in a practice task, information about reasonable adjustments, and some useful advice to take a look at before you begin. It’s very important that you read all this information carefully as it is there to help set you up for success!
At this stage it is crucial that you declare any need for reasonable adjustments as they cannot be added once you begin the assessment.
There are two ways an adjustment can be requested, and it varies by the company and role you have applied to, and this will be explained in your assessment invitation email.
Some companies will ask you to get in touch with them and request an adjustment. It’s important to reach out to the support email in your assessment invitation to make your prospective employer aware before you begin your assessment. Your prospective employer will review your request, implement the appropriate adjustments, and confirm once they have been made.
Other companies will give you the opportunity to self-declare any reasonable adjustments before starting the assessment, without the need to contact them first. If that is the case, you will be presented with a list of adjustments available and will be able to select the one(s) you require by ticking the relevant boxes.
If you decide that you do not need a reasonable adjustment, you will be required to tick a box confirming that you are comfortable proceeding without one. Please be aware that once you agree to move forward without adjustments, they cannot be added later on.
The Assessment:
The assessment doesn’t include traditional questions. Instead, you’ll complete a series of engaging, intuitive tasks designed to measure your unique behaviours. The specific tasks you’ll see are based on what the employer has chosen to assess and will measure what they believe are most important for success in the role.
You’ll be required to work through these tasks one by one, each time you complete a task, you’ll unlock the next one.
The tasks in the assessment can vary depending on what the specific employer has decided to include.
It's important to remember that there is no right or wrong way to approach the tasks and every employer is looking for something different, so we always encourage candidates to complete each task in the way that feels most natural to them.
Feedback report:
Upon completion of your assessment, you’ll receive a feedback report which will be sent to your email address. Make sure to check your junk/spam folder too as sometimes it can land there by mistake!
Your candidate feedback report that gives you informative insights and feedback based on your performance in the assessment. You can find out more about how to interpret your results in our article: Will I receive a report after completing the assessment and how do I interpret my results?
At this stage, your employer will also receive your result. You can find out more about how they use this here: How will my results be used in the recruitment process?
If you are wondering about the next steps of your application after you’ve completed your assessment, we recommend contacting the company you applied to directly and they will be able to provide you with further information.
